On & Off: Record of Student Fashion On and Off Campus

With the new season comes new fashion. October comes to an end, and the chill of autumn takes its place in our daily weather forecast. With the lows dropping in the 40s, scarves make their way out of the back of our closets and onto the Eugene streets. Knee high leather boots have been making a strong resurgence and paving a way in our hearts as the #1 fall shoe. I’ve been spending the past month taking photos of students on and off campus, capturing the distinct style of the University of Oregon. From tasteful layering, to vintage denim, to classic leather jackets, students display unique and bold fashion choices that show not only can you make it to your 8 am on time, but you can make it in style. Here are some of the looks that capture the style of U of O.

Cecily Vlaque and Leo Brown

James Heller in vintage denim and a cross body bag.

Arien Acosta.

Eva Steinmetz, Sienna Spezza, and Grant Spargo sporting going out wear.

Joaquin Crawford.

Heaven Richey in the classic Canadian tuxedo.

Elliot Jennings showing great taste.

Sunny X. in an off the shoulder sweater.

Spencer Gibson.

Skylar D. with a relaxed layered fit.

It is apparent that college students are bringing back the vintage look. Checking out thrift stores for the next great find, putting on the lowest of low rise jeans, and even using headphones as an accessory to their outfit. What's Next? Off the shoulder sweaters, polka dots, and certainly more striking student looks to come. Stay tuned for bi-weekly updates about the trends present at UO and what students are wearing on and off campus.
